Back Again

So I'm going to try and start blogging more.... it might be interesting stuff to read and it might be just plain boring with horrible writing (if you're a betting man, pick the second option). Well, if you don't already know, I graduated in December from the wonderful University of Memphis & Kemmons Wilson School of Hospitality and Resort Management. About a month ago, I started my first job as a college graduate. I am the new Marketing Coordinator for Ful and Count Me Healthy Jewelry.

Ful is a backpack/luggage company that uses music and Memphis as inspiration. So far I love it. The people are great, it's a laid back environment and I get to be creative every once in while. Every day is different, which is awesome. The only thing I don't love.... my wardrobe. As a poor college student, I had to cut back on a few things... fashion and beauty we're the first to go since I had a boy toy and I knew he hated all that jazz anyways. Now I'm working with these women who looked fabulous everyday. So Chase is getting mad because I'm spending more money on clothes than I probably should. And he's getting annoyed that it's taking me longer to get ready than before. He likes the "I can be ready in 15 mins" Paige and now he rarely sees that Paige anymore. I just can't go back to the old way though. When I wear one of my new trendy tops or my skinny jeans (which I never thought I'd purchase), I feel so much more confident. So, whether the hubs likes it or not I'm going to be shopping more than he's use to until I feel like I've got enough clothes for work. But hey, he can look on the bright side... my work clothes are the same as my going out clothes. So at least I'm not buying $300 suits and then cute clothes to go out in also.

The other company I work for is Count Me Healthy Jewelry. It is a company my boss, Chelsea Gossett, started. In just a short time it has expanded so much. She already has 7 different bracelets and more on the way! They are a great idea and I don't know why anyone wouldn't want one. I started using mine to count blessings and at the end of the day I would look and see how great my life is by all the beads on the one side. Well, I've now decided to use it for what most people probably do... for health. I'm going to count work outs per week. Shockingly, I've worked out the last 3 days in a row which is not normal for me. But working with these women who go to yoga and watch what they eat not for just diet purposes but for health in general has made me want to become more in shape as well. Luckily I have a husband and sister in law who are working out too so now I can have someone else to push me.

So Saturday, Chase, Angie and I played tennis and then went on a short jog after. After we did Easter with everyone Sunday afternoon, Chase, Angie, Jay and I played doubles for a bit and then Chase and I went on another short jog. Today I went on that same short jog after work and I was not feeling as great as I did the days before. I'm realizing now I should do a little bit of physical activity before I go jogging so that I'm more energetic. After the jog today, I played a little bit of b-ball with my hubby which was nice. I'm thinking the days we can't play tennis we can just practice getting me better at basketball and then go jogging after we practice so I'm a bit more energetic.

So right now, I'm hoping that the workout motivation hangs around. I would love to have a rock hard stomach for this summer but I don't know if that's going to happen. I really want to try out this Aerial Yoga my boss blogged about today (www.countmehealthyjewelry.com/blogs/cfm). It looks like it could be fun and peaceful. Midtown Yoga has classes but I have to take a 6 week series first.... so basically we'll see how much that costs. I'm betting I won't be afford it. Plus, they don't have the 6 week series coming up anytime soon so I bet by the time they do I'll have forgotten about it. I looked into buying the fabric and a video and setting it up at my home but that was at least going to cost me $70 and I don't even know if I like it yet. So if anyone knows somewhere else in town that does the aerial yoga, please let me know.

Well, I'm shocked I wrote as much as I did today. When I started I didn't think I had anything to write about. Well if you read all the way to this point, thanks and I hope you don't feel like you wasted 5 minutes of your life. Have a great week!

Another great weekend!

I have the best bossy ever!!! He offered me two tickets to Friday and Saturdays game, plus he got me a hotel room with his whole crew for Friday night! It was so much fun. Chad went to Friday's game with me (my phone was dead so no pics of the two of us :( ) which we had 3rd row center court seats. Our seats were the ones were when the announcers talk on TV and you can see people behind them are (usually drawing attention to themselves like Chad and I tried). Then Chase got off a little early and made it for the second half of the game. He just bought a cheap ticket and Chad went to the Gossett suite (which was not necessary, Chase didn't mind going but it was very sweet of Chad) so then Chase and I sat down low the rest of the game. Out of all the good seats I've gotten to sit in, this was the first time Chase was there to experience it with me(He still hasn't sat in Uncle Mitchy's floor seats, he had the opportunity and said no thanks because it was a tiger game?!?!). So after the game, we went to Hooters to watch the UT game and all my co-workers and Jay met us up there. We were there forever it seemed like. After that I went to Ground Zero with Jay, Josh, Kim, and Steve & Janet. After that I went to go get Chase's tipsy booty from Silky's. Saturday was a long......... day. First, Chase lost his car. We didn't know if it was stolen or got towed since there were other cars in the parking lot. He ate brunch with us and the other 100 tiger fans at Kings Palace and then was off to solve the case of the missing car so that he could fly off to work. His car was towed, he made it to work, all was good. Coley came to the game with me and we had a blast. Again, awesome seats thanks to Mr. Jody!! 6th row center court for the Championship game, can't complain!! It was so awesome to me to get to be there for the trophies and then the revealing of the banner (Dozier, Anderson, and McGrady most wins in NCAA history!). Then the guys started to have a dance off... Witherspoon was tearing it up in this picture!!! After the game(three mimosas and a big beer down) we headed to Flying Saucer. Stayed there till it was time to go watch the St. Pattys day parade on Beale. Headed to Wet Willie's to get my first and last Call-a-Cab. It was more like Call-a-Chase for me. It was delicious but strong. Watched the parade which was alot of fun. Then I believe we went to another bar on Beale, danced and danced some more. Then I headed off to Texas de Brazil for a classy birthday dinner for Massey. Well, I was far from classy. I was decked out in Memphis gear and had 50 green beads around my neck. Not really Texas de Brazil attire. Ate an awesome meal and then it was time for me to head to bed. Great, fun, liver killing weekend!! GO TIGERS GO!!!

Best Week of 09 so far!!

So I had a great weekend! Jamie called and invited me to the Tigers game and I met them up at Alfreds before. That's Colton and I before the game.... how cute is he!!! He loves him some Paige! Then the weather was so nice that we sat out on the Silky's patio (keep in mind a week earlier we had snow all over the place... that's Memphis for ya). It was a fun day and then even better night... Chase popped the question!!!! I was starting to think he was never going to do it. We knew we wanted a wedding this summer because fall is football season and I'll be in my last semester of school and spring is busy season for accounting so we weren't about to wait another year and half.... August 1st is the date!!! I don't love the story of how Chase proposed but he did throw me off. We went to dinner and he didn't care if we went downtown, went to Don and Debbie's with Jamie and the gang, or just hung out at his place. So I'm thinking he doesn't have something planned?!?! Well, this was the plan. He asks me to go get him a beer, I'm laying on the couch and he is sitting up so I'm of course like "Why??" He replied " If you love me you'll get me a beer" So I got up to get him a beer only because I knew the ring was in the fridge.... Sure enough, I open the fridge and see a Polly Pocket box( I told Chase like a long time ago, a simple way for a guy to propose would to get, for example, my wedding chapel polly pocket and replace the plastic ring with the real ring. You could ask the girl " What's this thing?" Of course she'd say it was her Polly Pocket and open it to show him and then she'd see the ring and be so thrown off). So I see the Polly Pocket and turn to see Chase behind me getting on one knee. It was so sweet and he for sure threw me off. Not the most romantic story but that's how Chase and I roll... haha I actually had made him sign an agreement that he's parents and I typed up. Basically the agreement stated that he had to unblock the channels on the TV that he blocked from me, that I get the nicer car, I get to pick out the movies, and some other goofy stuff. So he signed it, I said yes and he put the rock on my finger. I later found out that he dated is 2012 so he says it isn't effective yet.

Mack and Taggart

Ok, so after I was pissed off by the Buffalo Wild Wings employee who couldn't have been any more stupid, I left there to see two guys getting out of the car beside mine. Those two guys were Doneal Mack and Shawn Taggart. In a dorky, white girl voice I said " Hey Guys!!" and they both just said "hey" back with no smile or anything. I said "Good luck this week!" and no response and got in my car. I was a little upset with their sour attitudes. I think they should have been more friendly to a fan than they were. They are no longer on the top of my favorite Tigers player. I don't think Witherspoon would have been that annoyed with a fan. Maybe he's my favorite now?!?! Well, anyways I still wish them the best of luck tomorrow. Go tigers go!!
